ECI: Tennis Academy
Youth Tennis Skills Training Program
for Boys and Girls in grades 6-12
ECI Tennis Academy is a tennis skills development program for kids who want to be challenged and improve their own skills. The ECI Tennis Academy staff has many years of coaching and teaching experience and will work to help each child become a better player, no matter what their ability level. Players will be challenged while having fun and learning tennis and life skills.
TRAINERS? ECI has an excellent staff of tennis skills trainers who will run each session. They will be advised and trained by Lee Nagel, Wahpeton High School Head Boys’ & Girls’ Tennis Coach.
AGES? Boys and Girls in grades 6-12, divided into three groups:
6-8 Grade Girls 9-12 Grade Girls 6-12 Grade Boys
WHERE? NDSCS Clair T. Blikre Activities Center. Players must enter through the North door and will have sessions scheduled in either the Main Arena or the Auxiliary gym upstairs.
WHEN? ECI Tennis Academy will begin Monday, February 4, 2008, and will run through April 1st (when the school season begins). Depending on interest, sessions may continue into April or May. Each age group will have scheduled Academy sessions held throughout the week. Players can come to any or all sessions available for their age group. Schedules for Academy and Youth Teams each week will be posted on this website the week prior and will be emailed to those who choose to provide us with an email address.
COST? An academy membership allows you to participate in all 4 sports academies. You can choose to attend on a month-by-month basis, or you can purchase a 2-month or 1-year Academy membership up front at a discounted rate.
$15 1 Month Academy (unlimited renewal)
$25 2 Month Academy
$150 1 Year Academy (paid at time of sign-up)
*At ECI Academy, we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend regardless of their financial status, so players can also sign up for our Work to Play program and earn the cost of their membership by working at ECI tournaments.
